The old Den-Roy coach garage, next door to the Ground Floor, was owned by the society and used as changing rooms and for storage. When the theatre gave up the lease on the Ground Floor in 1977, it was homeless for a period, and plays had to be staged at Heptonstall Church, the Birchcliffe Centre and the Picture House.

The conversion of the coach garage into a 70 seat Little Theatre in 1983, brought the theatre back to Holme Street, where it has remained ever since.

Boeing-Boeing by Marc Camoletti, was the first production in the new theatre.
