Saturday night was Gala Night, at Hebden Bridge Little Theatre! The four winning writers saw their plays performed to a packed house, and Amelia Stephenson took the Judge’s Award for her witty and charming romantic comedy, Kelsi and Sam.
Dave Payne, Peter Bird, and Theresa Sowerby, the writers of Size Zero, Stranger and Going Country, were thanked for their contribution to a brilliant evening, and given a bottle of Prosecco apiece!
Amelia Stephenson is an actress and fledgling playwright based in South West London. She is a recent graduate of St Mary’s University in Twickenham having studied Drama and Theatre Arts for 3 years. A well deserved winner! Excellent night of entertainment.
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it.
Congratulations Vaughn on a wonderful one- act play festival ! It wan a great opportunity to see some new writing on our Little Theatre stage. Thanks to all the local judges, directors, actors and set/lighting etc people who helped make this such a entertaining evening- a chance to see a few plays that would probably never be part of the usual Little Theatre line-up during the year.
Thanks, Anita. I think the theatre rose to the challenge!
