Debbie and Peter, a normal, suburban, middle-aged English couple meet Elsa, a loud, overbearing, but rather fabulous American woman on a cruise.
A brief holiday encounter turns their lives upside down when Elsa arrives at their house, uninvited and also unwelcome. The teenage children are also put out by the visitor and the ‘uptight’ hosts discover the ‘true’ Elsa but are too polite to ask her to leave. The stress and mayhem pile up . . . . what on earth will happen?
An hilarious modern day comedy that satirises the English struggle to ‘always appear nice’ in the face of increasing challenges.
