Based on the award-winning BBC Radio 4 series, and described as “the story Dickens might have written if he’d had too much gin”, Mark Evans’ stage play Bleak Expectations is a hilarious, comic caper, featuring dastardly villains, preposterous names, incredible duels, several violent deaths, and definitely, probably, maybe…. a happy ending?
Follow half-orphan Pip Bin’s extraordinary exploits with sisters Pippa and Poppy and best friend Harry Biscuit, as they attempt to foil Mr Gently Benevolent’s dastardly scheme to steal their inheritance.
An adventure ripped straight out of a Dickens’ classic and given a Monty Python-esque twist.
