Cannot forgive Emma\, and harbours deep anger and resentment\, doesn’t understand why his wife wants to meet her. \nJoe-20 Danny’s brother- struggling with survivor guilt as was with Danny when he was killed. Feels that his parents\, particularly his dad\, blame him for Danny’s death. Resents his parents inability to see past Danny’s death and support their surviving son. \nEmma-18-Danny’s killer- Addicted to drugs and alcohol at a young age\, a highly volatile\, unpredictable vulnerable young lady\, hiding her vulnerability within an aggressive\, “bolshy” exterior. Lies as a defence mechanism. Described as a “constantly hyped powder keg of energy”\, but also has a highly wicked sense of humour and so ability to pull the comedy from the text is a must. \nElizabeth-30s- Emma’s social worker and family liason. Supports the Pritchard family through the process of meeting Emma and is party to many uncomfortable conversations. Is determined not to let Emma get under her skin and push her away.
