This month we said goodbye to our lovely friend Phil Vaughan. Phil was an active member of the theatre since making his first appearance on stage in 2003 (Let’s Divorce). He appeared in plays regularly, such as The Prime of Miss Brodie, The Liver Birds, and A Christmas Carol, and made his last appearance in The Railway Children, in 2014, during his illness. Phil’s contribution was immense in other ways too. He was a gifted photographer, who produced a comprehensive record of our plays. He was a gifted designer, and revamped the posters when he took that job on for a while, and for many years produced attractive programmes for each play, even managing to do his final one for Stepping Out, from his hospital bed. Phil helped to plan the new website, where you can view some of his work. Phil will be missed by all his friends in the theatre.
