Hot on the heels of our gloriously successful Music Hall evening, the Little Theatre Choir returns with its annual concert of light music, on Saturday 9 July, accompanied by the Leeds-based New White Rose Orchestra. This will be the fourth occasion when Choir and Orchestra come together under the musical direction of Christopher Irvin, to share a versatile programme on a summer evening. As in previous years, the repertoire ranges from stirring marches and lilting waltzes to ballads reminiscent of country fairs, romantic rose gardens and fireside dreams.

The Little Theatre Choir has been meeting and performing since 2009, and is currently on the look-out for new members (contact Chris, 01422 844744). The visiting Orchestra has recently entertained residents in a York Care Home, and taken part in a celebration of music in Brighouse. Tickets for the concert, cost £5, and can be booked on 01422 843907.
