We’ve had a good response to our recent appeal for photos, to fill in gaps in the Archive. We’ve added features on Natural Causes, Deadly Nightcap, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Spider’s Web, Dead Guilty, The Turn of the Screw, Bazaar and Rummage and Abandonment, as well as backstage photos of the 1999 production of A Christmas Carol, and of the 2000 production of Oh! What a Lovely War. We have also posted more programmes and photos of sets.

Apart from these new items, we continue to add a lot of new material to existing posts, some of which is featured here.

Len Shackleton has let us have a photo of his mum, Mona Cockroft, when she appeared in Dear Octopus, in 1941.

John Helliwell has donated a scrap book of photos of his father Raymond, starring in plays from the late 1930’s till the 1950’s.

Audrey Short (neé Morrison), has given us photos of some of the many plays she has appeared in, including one from 1943. Audrey must go back further than any other living theatre member. She can be seen in the picture of Life Members of the theatre, along with that other survivor from the early days, the irrepressible Dorothy Sutcliffe.
